1. The Short Version
We built TOSTask to protect your privacy, not invade it. We do not track your browsing history, we do not sell your data, and the extension only activates when you explicitly click it.
2. Data We Collect and How We Use It
- On-Demand URL Processing: When you click the "Analyze This Page" button, we temporarily process the text of the webpage you are currently on. This data is used solely to generate your summary and score.
- Zero Background Tracking: TOSTask does not monitor, record, or track your browser history, search queries, or background tabs.
- No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not require an account to use the extension. We do not collect your name, email, IP address, or location data.
3. Data Sharing and Security
- No Third-Party Sales: We will never sell, rent, or trade any data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers. Period.
- Security: All webpage text analyzed by TOSTask is processed securely. We do not maintain permanent logs of the URLs you analyze.
4. Your Rights
Because we do not store your personal data, you maintain complete ownership of your digital footprint. You can uninstall TOSTask at any time, which completely removes it from your system.
5. Changes to This Policy
We do not believe in unilateral changes without notice. If we ever make a material change to this policy, we will provide a clear, 30-day advance notice within the extension itself before the changes take effect.
6. Dispute Resolution
You retain your legal rights. We do not force mandatory binding arbitration, and we do not require you to waive your right to participate in a class-action lawsuit.
